How to wear your chanvray overshirt ?
This garment is easily worn over a t-shirt or shirt. For the bottom, all styles are possible: jeans, chinos, shorts.
What are the details ?
Particular care has been taken with seams to provide maximum strength and resistance. We want you to be able to wear this piece for a long time and why not pass it on in the future.
For the pockets (because it's always handy to have some) we have opted for a straight cut , consistent with the cut of our overshirt. The pocket flap does not have the bevelled angles as we often find them, but right angles , which gives character to the garment.
For buttons , it is a sturdy snap-type material. After many tests, we prefer to stay on metal buttons which reinforce the resistance of the garment and give it a "workshop / worker" style and real practicality.
What is chambray fabric?
Originally from the town of Cambray in northern France. Woven in plain weave, with a warp thread (often blue) and a weft thread, it is comparable to the denim fabric (from Nimes). Less thick, it is more fluid, more flexible but quite resistant.
It is credited with an appearance at the end of the 16th century, it was originally woven in linen. Over time, the chambray shirt became the representative garment of the worker in the world. In 1901 she even became the top of the regulatory uniform of the US Navy.
